To me, there is not any thing I have ever eaten is difficult for me to eat. I like enjoy different foods from other countries. It's really interesting because every country has special way to make foods. So I know that my country has some kinds of food that some foreigners cannot eat such as "trung vit lon", "bun mam", or "tiet canh vit".
First of all, I would like to introduce to you about "trung vit lon". It's duck's egg that has baby duck inside, but the egg has not hatched and the duck baby has not grown completely. We eat the hard-boiled eggs with pepper, salt, and a special plant. To some people who can eat this food, it's really delicious, but others are afraid of this food because they see the baby duck and they cannot eat it.
The second dish is "bun mam". "Bun" means rice vermicelli, and "mam" is similar to fish sauce, but it has smell stronger than fish sauce. "mam" is made by fish, salt and some spices. People put fresh fish, salt and spices into a can closed tight, then they wait until fish, salt, and spices are combined each other and it has a special taste. A certain thing is that most of American cannot stand this smell, to them it's really really terrible; however, I know some Americans love this food.
Finally, the strange Vietnamese food is "tiet canh vit" which made from the ducks' blood. People stir-fry the gizzard, internal organs and meat of the duck with spices. Then, all of them are put into a plate with some vegetable. Lastly, people pour the duck's blood into them, and wait until the blood clots. People eat the food with lemon in order to get rid of the smell of the blood. This food is hard for people to eat, also I'm not exception. When I was a child, I could not eat it because it has blood's smell. It's my nightmare. Now, I can eat it, but I don't like it a lot; in contrast, my father love this food so much.
When you come to my country, try eating these foods. I guarantee that they will be the strangest food you will have ever eaten, and you cannot forget them at the first time you try.
