Journal # 17: Baraka movie

I choose the scene of a monk on the street. The monk walk lonely on the stress to find help, and beg a meal or money from passengers. But no one care about his existence. People just pass over, talk and smile together without sympathy with the monk. When I watched this scene, I have two totally different emotions. First, I feel really happy with the development of human society. People work faster and more effectively with machine help. They enjoy prosperity and higher living standards. However, I felt this life is not completely happy and fair. I felt how empty and cold relationship between people is. People in the modern life become increasingly standoffish and apathy, and moral values are gradually forgotten. This scene reminds me that don't just think about myself, open your heart to feel love from people around me. Life is sacred and precious; treat all things with respect; care and be compassionate with all people we have chance to meet in our life because they are presents of life.
